Blanco y en botella

¿Qué es? La leche. Y es que precisamente en eso se ha convertido el ministro tras el que se parapeta el presidente. José Blanco es la leche. Y la consigna tanto en el partido como en el Gobierno es que siga ejerciendo de ministro matrioska una temporadita más.

Y eso que la arriesgada jugada del presidente puede volverse en su contra. La omnipresencia del arrollador Pepe Blanco es la comidilla en los círculos políticos. Ayer en el Congreso, un supervitaminado portavoz no oficial repartía leña a peperos, catalanes y a quién se pusiera por delante. Tras su gira por La Noria y demás programas-tipo de TV, a nadie le cabe la menor duda de que se le ha encomendado la tarea de ser la única voz tanto del Gobierno como de Ferraz. Mi colega Ana Cañil y yo asistíamos al espectáculo que procuró el titular de Fomento desde su sillón azul. ¿Le dáis adrenalina para desayunar?, le pregunta Ana a un diputado socialista, asesor y amigo de Zapatero. “Pues ya ves, algo así debe ingerir”, contesta.

La cuestión ya no es que haya asumido el papel de Mª Teresa Fernández de la Vega. Es que se ha convertido en un ministro matrioska, dentro del que se esconden el resto de ministros. Con atribuciones especiales para anunciar recortes aunque no tengan que ver con Fomento, para explicar casa por casa, gracias a la tele, los ajustes que el Gobierno se ve obligado a realizar o para marcar la línea de actuación en el aparato, dejando también a Leire Pajín relegada. “Es momento de lanzar un mensaje único y claro. Los sacrificios hay que hacerlos comprensibles y desde el partido estamos trabajando en esa dirección”, asegura una relevante dirigente de Ferráz para justificar el liderazgo de Blanco.

Entre tanto silencio redentor, sólo asoma -con el permiso de Blanco, claro- la voz de Manolo Chaves, el vicepresidente tercero cuya continuidad está en juego. Su tímida entrada en los últimos días no ha restado protagonismo al portavoz no oficial, pero demuestra que piensa pelear para evitar apearse del Gobierno. Sin embargo, el cuchicheo entre los diputados es la telegenia del ministro de Fomento. Tenía todas las papeletas para triunfar en las tertulias políticas de la tele. Ha tratado con la mayoría de cronistas que se sientan allí y a muchos hasta les ha hecho creer que les adelantaba una noticia.
Porque una de las especialidades de Blanco consiste en manejar a la prensa a su antojo y en eso tiene probada experiencia. Lo suele hacer en grupo y en privado. A él no se le resiste nada. Cuando está rodeado de un grupo de periodistas, la táctica de ‘manejamos una encuesta interna que dice que’ o ‘según un estudio que apunta’, planteado con cierta indefinición pero bajando el tono de voz para resaltar el ambiente de confidencialidad, le sale redonda. En privado, conduce a su presa a una esquina o se pega a la pared como para que nadie escuche esto tan interesante que va a decir, se arrima un poquito -dejando que corra el aire, claro- y suelta la perla correspondiente. Un genio. Más peligroso de lo que calcula su jefe.
